Terms of service.

INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the home of handcrafted keepsakes and thank you for choosing Custom Cushions make your special keepsake.

Before you make a purchase please take the time to read and agree to these important terms of service. By making a purchase you are there by agreeing to the terms and conditions.

I may revise and update these terms and conditions from time to time, so please take the time to read each time you make a purchase.

By the use of the term ‘I’, ‘me’ and ‘my’ on this website, Custom Cushions social media platforms refers to the owner of Custom Cushions, Jemma McLane.

ORDERS

All orders can be placed through www.customcushions.uk or through the Custom Cushions social media platforms.

A full payment must be made before work on the keepsakes can take place. No orders are dispatched until the full payment has been made by the customer. Payments can be taken through PayPal and Stripe.

Once work has begun on your keepsake, i am unable to offer a refund. If for any reason you change your mind and would like a refund please contact Custom Cushions immediately. If work on your order has not been started you will be offered a 50% refund and the clothing items will be returned.

After payment is made, you the customer is informed to send the clothing to me. Your address, order number, name and any special requests you may have should be included inside of the parcel.

Keepsakes will be returned within 4-6 weeks of purchase, should any unforeseen delays, such as illness, bereavement occur you will be notified by email with a new time frame.

SENDING CLOTHING

After your purchase you will receive an email confirmation from Custom Cushions, this will include the address that clothing should be sent to along with additional information that should be included within the package upon sending.

When sending clothing to me, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the parcel is securely wrapped, the address clearly written and return address details are on the reverse side. I would recommend sending all clothing using a realiable tracked and signed for delivery service.

All clothing should be in a clean and undamaged condition, if the clothing is too damaged or stained it will be sent back at the customers cost. If you are unsure about the suitability or material of clothing please contact me before sending the items. Clothing does NOT need to be ironed this is done by myself upon interfacing fabric.

By sending your clothing to Custom Cushions you are giving full consent for the clothing to be cut up and transformed into the keepsake of your choice.

It is the customer’s responsibility to check that all spelling is correct for personalisation before completing the purchase.

CARE

The keepsake bears and animals are not intended or designed to be washed or tumble dried. I would highly recommend against this and Custom Cushions cannot take responsibility for the outcome of the keepsake in this circumstance. We recommend wiping with a damp cloth.

Cushions may be washed, it is recommended hand washing where possible, or can be washed on a 30 degree heat maximum. DO NOT tumble dry. Cushion insert should be removed upon washing and can withstand a cool iron if necessary. If instructions are not followed, this may result in a ruined keepsake. Custom Cushions will not accept liability in this case.

Custom Cushions do not take any responsibility for any damages which occur after your keepsake has been shipped.

Please keep in mind all keepsakes are made from pre loved clothing, clothing that has been worn washed and tumble dried. Therefore the clothing is not as strong as they once were. I highly recommend taking extra care and love when handling the keepsakes, they are not designed to withstand child play and are used for display purposes only.

SAFTEY

Because Custom Cushion keepsakes are crafted from the sentimental items of clothing you provide, it is not possible to test them to CE standards and are not CE approved. As our items are NOT CE certified they are NOT suitable for children under 14 years of age.

When making a purchase please keep in mind the keepsakes are created for showcase purposes only and not suitable for child play.

It is important to be aware that cushions should NOT be used in the cot for any baby under the age of one.

DELIVERY

All finished keepsakes will be sent via the Royal Mail first class recorded service, proof of postage and tracking provided. These details will be forwarded to the customer once items have been shipped.

Should items go missing it is the customers responsibility to track the package using the details provided.

COPYRIGHT

The pattern used to create the bear keepsake is designed by Simplicity. The Lion pattern has been designed by Pauline at Funky Friends Factory and the Elephant pattern is designed by Jodie Carleton.

TAXES, DUTIES ABD IMPORT FEES

Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. I am not responsible for delays due to customs.

Custom Cushions do not accept any responsibility for the misuse of keepsakes.
