Where it started..

Founded in 2020, Custom Cushions set out to combine the sentimental clothing of a loved one with high quality craftsmanship, designing keepsake memory bears and cushions in Great Britain.

After the sudden loss of a special loved one, founder and creator of the brand, Jemma McLane, was deeply moved and inspired to embark on a transformative journey. Her vision was to repurpose her Grandad's cherished clothing into timeless keepsake heirlooms. This meaningful endeavour provided her with a powerful outlet for navigating through the overwhelming wave of grief and loss, ultimately giving her solace and purpose.

After creating such special and meaningful keepsake cushions for herself and her family, she took the opportunity to venture into the keepsake world, branching out to teddy bears. The heartwarming response she received from her cushions inspired her to expand her creative endeavours to include these beloved stuffed animals, providing even more people with the chance to cherish special memories in plush, huggable form.
